By: Customer’s Poet
Similar to any NFL team playing for a spot at the 2017 Superbowl 51, the Falcons road to victory was anything but easy. There were highs and there were lows. Yet, the Falcons did as their motto says and rised up to the occasion. Here’s what the falcons win can teach you about getting your customer service claims resolved.
They lost their first season game to Tampa
Like a customer who experiences poor customer service and reports it to the company with unsuccessful results; the Falcons went out on the field and lost their 1st season game to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 31 to 24. According to bloggingdirty.com, the Falcons’ inability to rush the passer and their secondary’s missed tackles and blown coverages cost them. But if at first you don’t succeed try, try try again. It’s exactly what the Falcons did.
They lost to the Seahawks
In the words of the famous New Orleans attorney Morris Bart “One call, that’s all”. And that was all it took for the Falcons to lose to the Seattle Seahawks 26 to 24. One bad call.
The same principle applies to customer service. All it takes is one bad call. Rather at fault of the company (calling a company to receive a rep whom offers no help) or at fault of the customer (the customer every rep knows and hates), no one wants to be mistreated. While fear, intimidation, and/or ridicule may work in some instances, the results are never long lasting.
They earn a place at Superbowl 51 and everyone is rewarded
After beating the Green Bay Buccaneers 44 to 21, the Falcons not only won a place at Superbowl 51 but the fellow staff members did as well. According to bleacherreport.com, owner Arthur Blank will treat his employees to a trip to Houston to watch the team play for its first championship.
Now take a moment and think. When was the last time you’ve had a poor customer service experience that turned around? Besides yourself, who else did it effect?
For me, it was at The Waffle House. Not only did I get what I was craving (a waffle) but my family got to receive great customer service from a waiter who was pleasant and happy to be of service.
As always be smart, be savvy, and equip.
